Being sick is no fun!
I have not had much time to post lately...the week before Christmas is always a busy time. And now Isaac is sick, so we are just taking it easy.
Poor little guy has been fighting something for about a week, but I figured he was just teething as he never got sick. Then Monday night he had a rough cough and a temp of 101. Tuesday morning he still had those symptoms along with a runny nose. I was prepared to just wait it out as his cousin and uncle had the same thing. When he woke up from his nap though, he sounded like a seal barking and couldn't cry without terrible coughing, and his fever had come back. I suspected he had croup and had him into the doctor within the hour.
He of course perked up and was playing when we got there. But when the nurse went to weigh him, he got mad, started to cry and then started coughing. When the nurses around the scale heard him cough they all exclaimed "oh my...that sounds awful!" It was confirmed that he indeed has croup. Luckily we caught it before it got bad and were able to get him a shot of medicine that should be help. He seems to be better today, no fever and his cough, though bad, sounds better. He is sleeping on the couch now, wich is good considering he cried most of the morning and just wanted to cuddle. Poor thing. It is no fun being sick. At least it is this week and not next when we will be up in Canada for christmas! Hopefully Chris and I will stear clear of it as well.

Poor little guy! He's such a trooper. Hopefully he'll start getting over it today. He can help me build a roaring fire tonight.
Hang in there!

poor baby! we've had the croup, too and it's not fun. just boil pots and pots of water. i've also heard that taking them bundled up out to breathe the cold, fresh air helps. we drove around one morning at 2 a.m. with z bundled in down comforters and the windows down to relieve her cough :)
I showed Taylor Bowe your sight. We played the alphabet game while the guys are watching the Seahawks game on the BIG TV set. Your dad has had more fun with that. Hope you are having a good time and have a great Christmas with the Dunlops
Love, mom
